1. Privacy Philosophy

Zen AI operates on a Client-Side First architecture. We (the developers of Zen AI) do not run a proprietary backend server to store your chat logs, files, or personal information. Your privacy is paramount.

2. Where Your Data Lives

  • Local Storage: Your chat history, themes, and settings are stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage on your own device.
  • Private Mode: When enabled, no chat history is written to your device's storage for that session.
  • Cloud Storage: If you sign in, files you upload or generate may be stored in your personal Puter.com account. We do not have access to your Puter files.

3. Data Processors

To provide AI functionality, data is transmitted to specific third-party providers. By using Zen AI, you acknowledge data sharing with:

Puter.com

Infrastructure & Auth. Handles login, file storage, and proxies requests to AI models.

AI Models

Providers (like OpenAI) receive your text prompts and images to generate responses.

4. Voice Data

When you use the microphone feature on supported browsers (Chrome/Android), we utilize the Google Web Speech API. Audio data is sent to Google's servers for transcription and returned as text. This audio is not stored by Zen AI.

5. Your Rights & Control

You have full control over your data:

  • Delete History: Use "Settings > Clear History" to permanently wipe local data.
  • Cloud Data: Manage your account data directly via the Puter Dashboard.
